It's already been one of those weeks where absolutely nothing is wrong but I've just been stressing myself out about things that need to get done around the house now that Christmas is over and we need to recover from all of the mess that comes with it. My back literally aches thinking of all that needs to get done.
I'm taking an unwanted break while Jonah naps because he can be a light sleeper. So I'm going through my emails and remember that this weekend will be my turn as part of the choir at church. There's two songs I need to familiarize myself more with so I begin to listen to them while I'm on this unwanted break of mine. Immediately the music and words fill my heart. The knots and tension in my muscles and body begin to quiver and I find myself being forced to forget about everything on my mind for a few moments and soak in the goodness of God and just how faithful He has been to me over this last year.
